During this winter break I was supposed to spend the last two weeks in Lima, Peru with my family but sadly we canceled the trip because of all the covid cases but we still wanted to go somewhere during this free break. So very last minute we decided to go Mammoth and rent a cabin. I went with my family plus some of my brother's friends and a friend of my own. The drive there is about 5 and a half hours and we stayed for four days. While we were there we went tubing, sledding, went on the gondola, made a snowman, and many other fun snow activities. This trip was so fun and Im glad we got to go somewhere during winter break.
While in Mammoth I took hundreds and hundreds of pictures but for this assignment I selected these six because I feel like they sum up the whole trip very well. The first picture (top left) was taken on January 5th and in the it is Audrey and I at the very top of a mountain where the gondola had taken us. This photo (top middle) was also taken on January 5th in the gondola on our way up to the top of the mountain. This photo (top right) was taken our first day in Mammoth which was January 3rd and we went grocery shopping at the nearby grocery store which is also the only grocery store in the area so we had to wait in line for over an hour so Audrey decided to fall asleep on the food. This photo (bottom left) was taken on January 3rd when we finally reached Mammoth and were driving into town. This photo (bottom middle) was taken on January 5th and we found this snowy area and decide to go sledding, make snowballs, and Audrey and I made a snowman. I promise Audrey was happy even though she doesn't look like it in this picture. This photo (bottom right) was taken on January 3rd on our drive to Mammoth and the closer we got the more snowy mountains I could see so I took many pictures of them. Mammoth is very beautiful so finding good pictures of this place was not hard at all and for it being my third time in Mammoth it was still really fun just like the previous two times.
This video was taken on Audrey's phone from when we went tubing at Woolly's Tube Park and Snow Play. There are many different ways to go you can go by yourself, with other people, forwards, backwards, spinning, and etc. In this video Audrey and I decided to go together and to have them spin us.
